The technology of vaping is new to most people. The switch from smoking cigarettes to vaping requires a shift in attitude and aptitude. If you’re looking to switch, we have some basic facts listed here that you should know about.

Electronic cigarettes were developed to be a safer alternative to smoking. The material you inhale is not smoke but a vapor, since it is not heated to the point of combustion. The user doesn’t inhale the tar and other chemical by-products that smoke from a combusted substance produces.

  • How Vapour is Made

Vapour is created when your substance of choice is heated by coils inside the vaporizer. The coils are heated by a current coming from the vape battery. The vapor is then inhaled. Vaporizers can either vaporize plant matter (like cannabis flower) or an oil or liquid.

  • Different Kinds of Devices

There are different types of e-cigarettes. Disposable e-cigarettes are easily available but not very powerful. Cigalikes and pen mods are more substantial but don’t satisfy everyone. A vape mod is a larger device providing bigger clouds, changing the hardware, and altering the wattage or temperature output.

  • Vaporizer Safety

Lithium-ion batteries are a subset of batteries that are used in vaporizers and can be potentially dangerous. Care is required to handle them and use them. Most e-cigarettes are now set to a specific output making them less susceptible to user error. Some of the e-cigarettes known as “mech-mods” should be operated by those who understand battery voltage to avoid the e-cigarette “blowing up.”

  • Vaping Side Effects

Most of these effects may be the result of detoxification. Chances are you have been a smoker, and so some pretty toxic chemicals have called your body home. Ridding your body of these toxins can make you feel ill at first. Also, e-liquid introduces some substances of its own that can create irritation initially.

The vaporization device heats just below the combustion point and frequently allows for adjustment of that heat. Learn how and when to inhale, there are differences between the devices.

  • Vegetable Glycerin vs Propylene Glycol
